Shed Research Project with the University of East Anglia (UEA)

Can you help us with our research?

We are looking to find out why people may have accessed a Shed once or twice but decided not to return. We’d like to understand why this happens.

If you have experiences where people attended your Shed but decided it wasn’t for them, we’d like to hear from you.

We don’t need any details of the people involved, but if someone told you the reasons why they felt they didn’t want to join your Shed we’d like to hear them. We don’t need extensive information from you, just an overview of why people did not want to pursue their Shed membership.

What is the research project?

This is part of the research that is currently taking place with the University of East Anglia and the Royal College of London.

This project is being carried out to understand the impact that Men’s Sheds have on mental health, wellbeing and their relationships with other people.

If you have already taken part in a questionnaire or interview, we’d like to say a big thank you to you on behalf of UK Men’s Sheds Association and the research team at the University for giving up your time and sharing your experiences. You can still get in touch to help with this if you have already been involved.

If you’d like to share your experiences then please contact rachel.meadows@ukmsa.org.uk
