Although the Jed Shed will remain closed to the public for the foreseeable future, a few of our members have actively been working on projects in the lead-up to Christmas.
In particular, a few of the lady members are involved with the creation and display of the Jedburgh ‘Memory Stars’ to be hung on the town centre Christmas tree, and onto which the public can write personal messages (photo 1). A few members helped out running our recent Jedburgh Winter Market.

We are in the fortunate position of having a good working relationship with our local McColl’s shop where we are able to display and sell our products in one of their front windows. Our current display this season is a collection of Powertex items made by our lady members (photos 2,3). Later this month, a few of the lady members will also be displaying some of the more festive items they are currently working on (photo 4) in the window.
Meanwhile, a few of the men are also working on projects leading to Christmas, including a complete, hand-made chess set, a bookcase, and a five-drawer set (photos 5,6,7).
