My Shed is about to make a Mud Kitchen for a small playgroup who has a severely autistic boy who likes this sort of activity. We are making it free of charge as a service to our local community.

    What are other Sheds doing?

Just started turning some pegs to make Gardeners marker lines which we hope to sell at the local Carnival in June to make some money for the Shed.

We are making old style games in the workshop and inviting other local sheds for a competition.

A mud kitchen is ideal for group play and here at Edusentials we even offer a double sided unit. View our range online.

We have been making clothes airers to make use of the space over the stairs. Our current ones provide 36 ft of hanging space and yet allow normal use of the stairs below them. We found that things also dry quicker than elsewhere because of the air flow up stairs.
We have also made better use of airing cupboards by maximising the hanging ability inside them on the back of the door and down the front of the tank. All by using cheap timber and dowel cheaply.

We have been turning wooden lighthouses around 1ft tall with a battery tealight in the top, they look especially good for gentle light at night and the tealights are cheap in bulk.

We have been making plywood tool carries for when we have a job somewhere and lots of small tools to carry. our turner makes the handles for them. They make life easier than struggling with full hands and scattering things everywhere. we include a little top tray for the small things that would be lost in the bottom under all the bigger items.

You need to upload a photo to a site, like Flickr or Google photos, then use the photo link in the image tag above.
