Victoria Saints Men’s Shed Launches with Support from Swansea Council We are excited to announce the official launch of the Victoria Saints Men’s Shed, a new community initiative aimed at fostering camaraderie, skill-sharing, and social support among men in the local area.

The project, which has been made possible thanks to generous funding from Swansea Council, is set to become a cornerstone of the community, providing a safe and welcoming space for men to connect, learn, and contribute. It will be open every Monday from 11.00am until 1.00pm and located in the heart of Victoria Park Bowls Green, Swansea.

The Victoria Saints Men’s Shed is designed to be an inclusive environment where men of all ages and backgrounds can come together to share stories, experiences and build lasting friendships.The initiative comes as a result of a comprehensive scoping exercise led by the management committee in partnership with the Local Area Coordinator Fiona Hughes, who has been instrumental in bringing this project to life and to ensure that the Shed not only meets the needs of its members but also establishes itself as a necessary hub for men in the community.

Chairman of the Victoria Saints Bowls Club, Kenneth Gabrielle, expressed his gratitude for the support from Swansea Council, stating, “We are immensely thankful to Swansea Council for their generous funding, which has made the launch of the Victoria Saints Men’s Shed possible and also the UK Men’s Shed organisation for their continued advice and support.

We hope this initiative will have a significant impact on the lives of many men in our community, offering them a place to connect, learn, and grow.”The official launch event will be attended by the Leader of Swansea Council, Rob Stewart, who shared his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “I am delighted to be present at the launch of the Victoria Saints Men’s Shed.

This initiative will bring enormous benefits to the community by providing a much-needed space for men to come together, share experiences, and support each other. The Men’s Shed is a welcoming and inclusive space, and I am confident it will make a positive difference in the lives of many.

“The Victoria Saints Men’s Shed invites men from all walks of life to join them every Monday between 11.00am until 1pm for refreshments and biscuits at Victoria Park’s Bowls Pavilion.
