ShedFest 2024
Thursday 11th July 2024 Worcester University Arena
What an absolutely unbelievable day at ShedFest 2024, officially our biggest ever!
A whopping 500 of you smashed our ticketing system in record time to join us at the University of Worcester Arena for the day to network, share ideas, join multiple workshop sessions, watch demonstrations and attend our AGM to help steer our strategy going forward.
We operate as a small team, so our immediate thanks and gratitude are expressed to the small army of Shedders, our ambassadors & trustees, who helped us with setting up late in to Wednesday evening, which we couldn’t have done it without you – thank you all.
Our amazing partners helped all our guests have a special takeaway goody bag, featuring a pot of paint, carpenters’ pencil, biscuits, tea bag, a copy of Sorted Magazine, a UKMSA mug, and a copy of our 1,000 Faces book. These generous donations were thanks to Ronseal, Tite-Fix, Ladbrook Insurance, Taylors of Harrogate, Grandma Wild’s, The Cotton Textile Company and Sorted Magazine.
Comedian and author Geoff Norcott, opened this year’s ShedFest following an introduction from Rob Lloyd, our chair of trustees.
In our exhibition hall, Hobsons Brewery drew plenty of attention with their pop-up bar showcasing our very own Shed Ale. They can also support your Sheds fundraising with the Shed Ale, some further information to follow. Click Here for Shed Ale
Ronseal ran a competition to ‘win everything on the table’ and Ladbrook Insurance also had a draw to win vouchers and goodies among a long list of activities and games on display throughout the hall.
Over 30 exhibitors in total helped with resources, fundraising, craftwork, health and wellbeing, and more, including Royal British Legion, who we launched a partnership with earlier this year.
Our friends at Carveco (one of the event sponsors), Axminster Tools & Woodworkers Workshop led the way with some brilliant practical demonstrations of their craft and digital software for designers. Fellow workshops throughout the day to name a few included advice on Shed vitality, mental health in Sheds, DBS myth busting, IT for Sheds, and suicide intervention.
We’ve been inundated with positive reviews, comments and thank yous in our inboxes and on our social media channels since the event, Thank you to everyone involved and our sponsors; Carveco, Wessex Insurance, and our paint champions, Ronseal.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year, watch this space for updates and announcements on the date, venue and tickets.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for making ShedFest 2024 our biggest and best ever!
