UKMSA is delighted to announce a new partnership to add to the growing list of organisations that are keen to support the work of the association and its member Sheds.
Onduline is a world leader in manufacturing lightweight roofing systems and waterproofing solutions for a range of sectors, from agricultural and industrial to DIY, including garden sheds and outbuildings. With a range of eco-friendly and durable products to meet the needs of most roofing projects, the company has been keen to broaden its engagement with charities that support the health and well-being of local communities. They identified UKMSA as one such organisation and have pledged funding support to the association as well as providing materials to support ten projects over the next year by donating its lightweight roofing material and accessories for Sheds to use either on their own meeting places, or to help projects within their community.
Nisha Kumar, Marketing Manager for Onduline, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer our support to a charity such as UKMSA. Isolation and mental health are a very real problem throughout the UK and working with them to help fund projects to enable Sheds to thrive is a real honour.”
David Meli, Partnerships & Community Development Manager for UKMSA, added: “It’s been great to receive this support from Onduline and we’re excited to see what projects our Shedders will put forward for consideration. Providing spaces where individuals can meet and enjoy the activities offered by the Sheds across our network is crucial to enabling the movement to support more people to feel connected and stay healthy.”
Sheds can find more information, including how to submit their application for a project to be considered for support from Onduline here.
