The UK Men’s Sheds Awards celebrate the people, projects and partnerships that make Men’s Sheds such an important part of communities across the UK.
From life-changing support and friendship to community projects, environmental initiatives and skills-sharing, Men’s Sheds make a difference every day. The Awards recognise and celebrate those achievements while showcasing the positive impact of the Shed movement.
Whether you’re a long-established Shed, a newly formed group, or a passionate Shedder making a difference, we want to hear your story.

How to Enter
- Choose Your Category. Select the category that best reflects your achievement, project or nominee.
- Read the Guidance and Judging criteria for your chosen category.
- Complete the Online Entry Form or send us a video entry. Tell us your story and explain the impact you’ve made and how you meet the criteria.
- Submit Your Entry. Complete and submit your nomination before midnight on Sunday 27th September 2026.
Award Categories for 2026
- Community Project Award
For Shed projects that have made a positive impact in the local community. - Partnership Award
For successful collaborations with organisations, businesses, schools, charities or community groups - Health and Wellbeing Award
Celebrating Shed activities that improve physical, mental or social wellbeing. - Armed Forces Award
Recognising support for veterans, serving personnel and the wider armed forces community given by Armed Forces Accredited Sheds. - NEW | Green Shed Award
Rewarding Sheds that have made an outstanding contribution to environmental sustainability, conservation, or wildlife preservation. - NEW | Heritage & History Award
For Sheds that are making a positive contribution in preserving and promoting heritage and local or regional history. - Shedder of the Year
Recognising an individual who has gone above and beyond for their Shed and fellow members. - Shed of the Year
All entries can be considered for the overall UK Men’s Shed of the Year 2026 Award, with no separate nomination required. Simply opt in on the form and add your supporting information. - Special Recognition Award
Awarded to a Shed that may have embarked on an innovative project, overcome challenges or achieved something slightly outside of the parameters of the specific awards categories.

Celebrate your achievements, recognise your members and help showcase the incredible impact of Men’s Sheds across the UK.
Nominations are open to all UKMSA member Sheds. All members may nominate their own Shed or another. Multiple category entries are also welcome.
Nominations close at midnight on 27th September 2026
Guidance
Please read the general information and specific category advice before submitting your entry. This will help you understand what the judges are looking for and how to put your entry together.
The guidance also gives details of previous winners in each category.
Judging
Entries will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges drawn from across the Men’s Sheds movement and partner organisations. Judges will be looking for:
- Positive impact
- Innovation and creativity
- Community benefit
- Evidence of success
- Alignment with the values of the Men’s Sheds movement
