We know that Sheds do great things for the Shedders who are part of them, but it’s also great when we hear of the Sheds being recognised for what they contribute to their communities too.

Church Crookham and Fleet Men’s Shed has worked with the Fleet Branch of The Royal British Legion on several projects, and it’s fantastic to see that the partnership has been given a special commendation.

Allan Walker, Chairman of Church Crookham and Fleet Men’s Shed said “We made several Silent Soldiers that are placed around Church Crookham and Fleet around Remembrance Day.  We also made several silent soldier T light candle holders which were sold last year to help raise funds for Royal British Legion at remembrance. We are currently making a other 40 for them for this year.”

In recognition of their support the current Royal British Legion branch chairman, and the previous chairman attended “The Shed” to present them with a certificate of support.
