Alcohol Awareness Week (6–12 July) is an opportunity to pause and think about how alcohol fits into our lives and the impact it can have on our physical health, mental wellbeing, sleep and relationships.

At Men’s Sheds, we know that wellbeing often happens through connection, conversation and spending time shoulder to shoulder with others. Sometimes simply talking openly about our habits can help us make informed choices that support our overall health.

As part of our ongoing partnership with DRINKiQ, supported by Diageo, we’re helping to encourage conversations around alcohol and wellbeing through practical resources, information and initiatives such as our ‘Better Drinking, Better Living’ sessions, creating spaces for connection and conversation between Shedders around this important topic.

Whether you’re interested in understanding more about alcohol, looking to make small changes, or supporting someone else, there are plenty of free resources available.

Resource: Men on a Mission

Developed through our partnership with DRINKiQ, the Men on a Mission handbook offers practical information, tips and conversation starters to help men better understand alcohol, wellbeing and the positive role that connection and shared experiences can play in supporting healthier choices.
