ShedFest 2019 update!
We are delighted to announce that tickets for ShedFest 2019 on Tuesday 3rd September at the University of Worcester Arena are now available. Tickets are £5 per person for non-members, but Shedders from member Sheds can book FREE tickets using the code sent to member sheds. You can book tickets through Eventbrite here.
Are you a part of an amazing Shed? Don’t forget to nominate your Shed for at least one award in this year’s Shed of the Year competition! You can find out more details, and download a nomination form here.
This year we are looking to serve both Shedders and Leaders even more by expanding the exhibition and having demonstrations on skills for Shedders running alongside the development focussed workshops. We are also excited to announce our inspirational keynote speaker, Paul Sellers. Paul describes himself as a lifelong amateur woodworker, but he is also considered one of the best known woodworking teachers in the world, his Youtube channel is the most subscribed to UK woodworking channel.
Our exhibition hall will be even bigger this year! We’re excited to be welcoming back Metalcraft, QJS Marquetry, Ladbrooks Insurance, Men’s Health Forum, Royal Voluntary Service and Prostate Cancer among others. We also have new guests including International Boat Building Training College, Export and General Insurance, ThinkLaser and Creative Minds.
This year we will also run a competition for the best bird box and best turned item, so get creating…. The criteria is that you need to be able to transport it there yourself, and it must fit through the door. We’d love to see some imaginative pieces at ShedFest!

Thank you to all who joined us for ShedFest 2018
ShedFest 2018 was a great opportunity for Shedders to meet and exchange ideas, as well as hear from UKMSA about plans for the future, and for the AGM to take place. If you are a member Shed, please follow this link for access to the resources from ShedFest 2018. Resources include the presentations, workshop notes and infographics about the Men’s Shed movement and benefits of being a Shedder.
If you’re not a member Shed, but would like to join, you can find out more here.
