Has the lockdown put paid to the great plans you had for your Men’s Shed? Good news is there’s support to get things back up and running!
The Bernard Sunley Foundation awards grants for the building or refurbishment of scout huts, village halls, community centres, youth clubs, boxing clubs, outdoor activity centres, farm and outdoor learning centres, sports centres and pavilions, playing fields and playgrounds. They also fund the purchase of new minibuses that assist those most in need in their local communities.
It was a great surprise to
The Silvers’ Workshop, Reading to receive a call from Jacqueline Fieldsend,
ASDA Tilehurst, Community Champion. She was interested in knowing when we hoped
to re-open the Workshop and if a representative could meet her at the Tilehurst
store to discuss our plans.

Join groups like Men in Sheds West Bletchley who have already raised over £155 with easyfundraising. Paul said – “easyfundraising provides a useful way for Shed supporters to help with our fundraising. It doesn’t cost supporters to use and a percentage of their online purchases comes to the Shed in the form of a quarterly payment directly to our bank well-known high-street names like John Lewis & Partners, Argos, Wickes and many others will all pay a percentage of the transaction value which benefits the Shed. I thoroughly recommend it.”Give your Shed a big funding boost this Christmas, sign-up today!
