UKMSA take great interest in the government’s latest easing of lockdown. We are awaiting guidance from ACRE, and government agencies, with regards the news that community centres can open. We once again would advise Sheds to read the guidance under COvid-19 on the UKMSA website (https://menssheds.org.uk/covid-19/). Advice on our website will be updated as and when new information becomes available. Two metres is still the advised social distancing requirement, which we recommend Sheds adhere to. We will update Sheds both directly and through social media as and when we have further information and guidance. ACRE and other agencies are expected to put out guidance in the next two to three days. We appreciate lockdown is and has been challenging during this time and are eagerly anticipating the return to Shed life.
Across the country Shedders are asking, when can we re-open and what will we need to put in place?
In partnership with other Shed Associations and Sheds, we have developed a document that will hopefully help you with your thought process and what you may want to consider when opening your Shed.
We fully understand the dilemma for Sheds and Shedders and we hope you follow the guidance until such time that it is both legal and safe to open your Sheds. As we receive more information or ideas from Sheds and partners we will update this document here on the UKMSA website.
Unlocking the Shed should be a useful supplement to the guidance from Public Health agencies and Governments. Click the boxes below to download resource packs.

It doesn’t cost supporters to use and a percentage of their online purchases comes to the Shed in the form of a quarterly payment directly to our bank well-known high-street names like John Lewis & Partners, Argos, Wickes and many others will all pay a percentage of the transaction value which benefits the Shed. I thoroughly recommend it.”Give your Shed a big funding boost this Christmas, sign-up today!
